Career Development Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Coach to join our team at Acorn Training. As a Career Development Coach, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their career goals and develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of customers to ensure they receive personalized support and guidance to achieve their career goals.
- Provide one-to-one information, advice, and guidance sessions to customers seeking employment.
- Develop and deliver job search materials and resources to meet the needs of customers.
- Work with local employers to identify key opportunities for customers and employers.
- Support customers with pastoral needs and provide referrals to relevant services.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance on learning programs and qualifications.
- Coach customers to promote positive behaviors associated with employment.
- Monitor and evaluate customer progress towards individual goals and set effective targets.
- Work with diverse customer groups, including young adults, adults, customers with learning difficulties and disabilities, lone parents, offenders, and offenders in the community.
- Identify and signpost customers for support with literacy and numeracy skills development needs.
- Ensure adherence to policies related to Child and Adult at Risk and Data Security.
- Maintain a positive and professional company image at all times.
- Support the company's Quality Policy and Information Security priorities.
- Support the company's equality of opportunity statement at all times.
- Work safely and support the company's Health and Safety Policy.
- Referrals to schemes within Acorn Training.
- Monitoring outcomes for each candidate.
- Face-to-face meetings with each candidate in line with company expectations and standards.
- Customer service satisfaction.
- Full NVQ Level 2 in customer service, business administration, accounting, or IT.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Level 2 IT Qualification, such as ECDL.
- Level 3 Information, Advice, and Guidance qualification.
- IEP Accredited Sector Induction (Level 2).
- IEP Accredited Certificate in Employability Practice (Level 3).
- First Aid at Work Certificate.
- IOSH Health and Safety Qualification.
- Skills for Life awareness.
- Knowledge of the local labor market.
- Barriers to learning and employment.
- Support strategies for various customer-specific needs.
- Delivery of Learning and Skills Council and/or DWP contracts.
- Full driving license with access to a car with business insurance.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-performance organization.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work accurately and actively program solving.
- Ability to reflect on your own performance to support quality improvement.
- Ability to manage time effectively and plan your own workload.
- Ability to work with little supervision or guidance.
- Ability to maintain one's own motivation when things are getting tough.
- Ability to be proactive.
- Ability to understand one's own limitations within the role.
