Electro Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electro Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our small motivated Maintenance team at G-TEKT Europe Manufacturing Limited.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain all site plant equipment, including Automated power presses, Automated robot assembly lines, conveyor systems, resistance welding lines, and clinching equipment.
- Promote a culture of working safely by adhering to company Health & Safety and environmental standards.
- Attend breakdowns as a priority, ensuring equipment is up and running in the shortest time possible to the correct safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities, such as submitting suggestions to improve process flow and increase production cell efficiency.
- Support 5s activities throughout the Production Departments.
- Follow instructions to ensure maximum effectiveness and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Participate in training and development activities for personal and/or team development advancement.
- Work as part of a small team with minimal supervision, reporting directly to the maintenance manager.
- Carry out permanent corrective work to prevent faults from reoccurring.
- Identify and implement improvements to equipment to enhance quality and/or efficiency.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment and site facilities.
- Participate in projects and improvements as necessary.
- Interrogate and fault-find PLC systems (Omron, Mitsubishi).
- Previous experience in a busy factory/manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Willingness to multi-skill and learn products and processes.
- Ability to problem-solve and think logically.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Electrical installations to 18th edition regulations or equivalent is desirable.
- Competent use of machine shop and tool room equipment to perform repairs.
- Able to manage own time and priorities where necessary.
- Record all activities on CMMS.
- Experience of working to deadlines and targets.
- Logical fault-finding approach through basic electrical and electronic principles, relay logic, PLC software interrogation, safety circuits, and software.
- Experience of variable speed motor control systems, inverter, and servo drives.
- Previous experience in Automotive Manufacturing would be advantageous.
- Excellent time and attendance record.
- Patience when problems occur to explain root causes to operators clearly.
- Approachable and willing to carry out requests from operators, team leaders, and managers.
- Experience and understanding of basic robotics and software integration.
- Safe working approach.
- Experience of coaching apprentices would be advantageous.
- Flexible working approach, including weekend working when required.
- 25 days holiday (mostly fixed with plant shut downs) + 8 Bank holidays.
- 37.5 hour week.
- Permanent contract.

- Overtime (up to 1.5 hours compulsory overtime per day, depending on business need).
