Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing and documentation of LV Switchgear panels and components.
  • Host factory acceptance tests with clients and diagnose any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with engineering, commissioning, and building of panels.
  • Maintain safe working practices and adhere to quality control and safety procedures.
  • Travel to sites to diagnose and fix issues with panels.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships and confidence to demonstrate testing under the presence of end customers.
  • Accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and instructions to assemble components and build and wire panels within specified timescales.
  • Carry out testing and inspection on finished Switchgear panels in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
  • Adhere to and maintain safe working practices.
  • Ensure panels are sent to site with 100% confidence that they fit within specification and function as stated.
  • Perform and host Factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests in the presence of end customers.
  • Adhere to and actively improve quality control processes and test procedures.
  • Support installation at customer sites as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a NVQ level 3 in Electrical engineering or several years of experience within the LV Switchgear industry. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in LV Switchgear testing. You will also have a qualified Electrician with a current ECS card, a driving licence, and a positive 'can do' attitude with good attention to detail.
