Position: Residential Support Worker - Children's Home

Salary: £26,416 per annum (based on 40 hours/week) £12.70-£13.60/hr. (Plus sleep-in allowance of £65 per night)

Location: Oldham (OL4)

Hours: Shift pattern on a rota basis (40 hours per week)

We are seeking a number of skilled and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a newly established children's home in the Oldham area.

The Role:

  • Become part of a dedicated team focused on creating a safe and loving home environment for children and young people.
  • Provide round-the-clock care and support for all residents.
  • Personal care may be required based on individual child needs.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and be available on-call as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.
  • Commitment to pursuing a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential, with support provided.
  • Completion of all mandatory training, including Team Teach Level 2, upon successful application.
  • Experience and understanding of challenging behaviours are crucial.
  • A fully enhanced DBS on the update service is required; assistance with new DBS applications is available.
  • Prior experience working with children with SEN, such as Autism and Learning Disabilities, is essential.
  • Compliance with all relevant checks and provision of necessary documentation is mandatory.
  • Submission of a comprehensive CV, including any gaps in employment.
