As a Youth Support Specialist, you will engage with young individuals in care, those on the brink of care, or children with disabilities, ranging from ages 5 to 18. This role is part of a collaborative team that aids children and young people in acquiring essential life skills for independence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate individual risk assessments, support plans, and care plans, ensuring all actions are implemented.
- Assist young individuals in managing behavioral, emotional, or other challenges in accordance with established policies and standards.
- Possess knowledge of safeguarding practices relevant to children and young people.
- Engage in the professional environment of the facility and collaborate effectively with the residential staff team.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
- Participate in training sessions, attend team meetings, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks applicable to the facility and understand relevant oversight standards.
- Support young individuals in developing skills and confidence for independent living.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering life skills or participation programs to young people in youth work, social care, or health environments.
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with children and young people.
- Possession of a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification), with a commitment to complete any outstanding qualifications.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate and organized documentation for managerial review.
