Job Title: Lead Maths Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maths Teacher to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Lead Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the maths curriculum and ensuring that our pupils receive a high-quality education in maths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the maths curriculum across the school
  • Teach maths to pupils with a range of needs, including neurodiverse children and young people
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential
  • Support team members with the delivery of maths across the school
  • Have oversight of the maths subject as a whole

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience
  • Great communication skills
  • A driving licence
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs
