Following a recent organizational restructure within Infrastructure and Transformation, we are excited to announce an opportunity to lead our newly formed Parking Management team. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, clients, and partners to deliver a professional service that optimizes resources and achieves positive results.
Reporting directly to the Parking Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the Council's parking management strategy. Your role will involve working alongside Council stakeholders and external partners to enhance outcomes for a diverse range of parking initiatives and projects.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Council's Decriminalised Parking Enforcement duties, which encompass regulations related to waiting, loading, and pavement parking. Additionally, you will promote and develop Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) in conjunction with the broader Transportation team and address parking inquiries from elected officials and the public.
A relevant qualification such as a HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential. You should possess significant knowledge and experience in a pertinent area, along with a proven history of successfully delivering projects and meeting service objectives. Demonstrated experience in fostering productive relationships with contractors and service providers is crucial.
As a business and customer-oriented professional, you should have a track record of identifying opportunities, achieving results, managing change, and demonstrating strong leadership capabilities. A self-motivated individual, you should be adaptable and collaborative, able to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
With exceptional organizational and IT skills, proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications, GIS, and AutoCAD is required. You should also be an effective communicator, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to analyze data and produce comprehensive reports, including experience presenting information in public settings.
This position offers the possibility of hybrid working arrangements in accordance with service requirements.
