Due to a recent reorganization within our Infrastructure and Transformation department, we are excited to announce a leadership opportunity within our newly formed Parking Management team. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, clients, and partners to deliver a professional service that optimizes resources and achieves positive results.

As the Parking Management Team Leader, you will report directly to the Parking Manager and be responsible for the development and execution of the Council's parking management strategy. Your role will involve working closely with both internal and external partners to enhance outcomes for a diverse range of parking initiatives and projects.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Council's Decriminalised Parking Enforcement duties, which encompass regulations related to waiting, loading, and pavement parking. Additionally, you will develop and promote Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) in collaboration with the wider Transportation team and address parking inquiries from elected officials and the public.

The ideal candidate will possess a HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. You should have substantial knowledge and experience in a relevant area, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects and meeting service priorities. Strong skills in establishing effective working relationships with contractors and service providers are essential.

We are looking for a business-oriented and customer-focused individual with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, achieve results, manage change, and exhibit strong leadership capabilities. You should be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of handling multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.

Excellent organizational and IT skills are required, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications, GIS, and AutoCAD. You should be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to analyze data and produce comprehensive reports, as well as present information in public settings.

This position offers the possibility of hybrid working arrangements in line with service requirements.

A valid UK driving license is required for this position.
