Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team at CRA GROUP LIMITED as an Administrative Support Specialist within the Highways Transport and Planning (HTP) Directorate. This role is pivotal in ensuring a customer-centric and efficient administrative service, where you will prioritize daily tasks aligned with team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective administrative assistance to teams, understanding their needs and priorities.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with managers and colleagues to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage daily workloads effectively, collaborating with colleagues to meet objectives and maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Oversee incoming email communications and ensure websites are updated accurately.
  • Prepare complex and precise documentation, including reports and correspondence, ensuring grammatical accuracy.
  • Coordinate large events and meetings, ensuring all necessary reports are prepared and delivered.
  • Handle statutory requests and reports with diligence.
  • Process Purchase Orders, invoices, and manage relevant financial administration tasks.
  • Maintain and update both computerized and manual records accurately.
  • Direct complex queries to the appropriate channels, working under guidance for unusual or challenging issues.
  • Respond independently to daily inquiries via telephone, email, and written communication, utilizing initiative to resolve unexpected challenges.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with care and discretion.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction via telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Strong written communication abilities to produce accurate meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports.
  • Numeracy skills to perform accurate financial calculations and data analysis.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret specialized information and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Adaptability to embrace change and learn new systems and processes effectively.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades A-C/4-9, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications demonstrating requisite numeracy and literacy skills.

Additional Information:

This position is classified under Pay Grade 5. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday.
