Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing for web applications, with a focus on headless CMS testing, particularly Contentful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality of applications built using Contentful, Vercel, and other technologies.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure the product meets quality standards at every stage of development.
  • Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution using appropriate tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand automation test scripts for web applications using suitable testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Jest, etc.).
  • Ensure compatibility across browsers and devices for responsive design testing.
  • Continuously improve the test automation framework for efficient and scalable testing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies, as well as advancements in web technologies.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in both manual and automated testing for web applications.
  • Experience with headless CMS testing, particularly Contentful.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or similar.
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining test scripts for front-end and back-end testing.
  • Solid understanding and experience in API testing.
  • Familiarity with browser developer tools and performance profiling.
  • Hands-on experience on integration testing in deployment environments such as Vercel.
  • Experience with cross-browser testing and responsive design testing for mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with modern Agile testing methodologies and tools like Jira, TestRail, etc.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or others.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
