Job Title: Governance, Performance and Improvement Officer

Join the LGC Group as a Governance, Performance and Improvement Officer and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services within the Governance, Performance and Improvement team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Governance, Performance and Improvement team, ensuring the smooth operation of internal and external committees.
  • Produce high-quality minutes and reports, and maintain accurate records of meetings and decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the collection and quality of management information.
  • Support the team in maintaining databases, logs, and risk registers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with the Governance, Performance and Improvement team to understand corporate and customer policies, as well as key areas of legislation, to challenge processes and improve research funding best practices.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Science, Humanities, or Law
  • Understanding of academic and/or research activities in science
  • Experience of translating policy into practice
  • Process mapping
  • Managing and presenting complex information
  • Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Scheduling, preparing, and organizing documents for high-level meetings
  • Microsoft Office and G Suite software
