Vetro Recruitment is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Therapeutic Support Worker within a supportive residential setting for young males aged 13-18.

Our client operates four homes in picturesque rural locations across Surrey and West Sussex. These homes provide a nurturing environment where young people can heal from past traumas and build a brighter future. The focus is on clear boundaries, achievable goals, and positive reinforcement to foster growth and development.

Therapeutic Support Worker Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a caring and stimulating environment tailored to the unique needs of each young person.
  • Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, social interaction, and personal growth within the home setting.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legislation and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Meticulously monitor and document young people's progress, achievements, and significant life events.
  • Collaborate effectively with local authorities and placing agencies to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with parents/carers to contribute to the holistic development of each young person.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in daily tasks, including contributing to household responsibilities within the home environment.
Therapeutic Support Worker Requirements:
  • Possess a valid driving license due to the rural locations of the homes.
  • Demonstrate genuine passion and enthusiasm for making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
  • While not mandatory, an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field is highly advantageous.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with young people, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to tasks and responsibilities, as well as open to adjusting to changing situations and work schedules.
