Role Responsibilities

We invite you to become a Youth Care Assistant for our young client.

Client Overview:

The client aims to enhance their mobility and independence, while also developing communication skills through Makaton, enabling them to express their needs and engage socially.

Work Schedule:

  • Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays
  • Morning shifts before school (7am-9am)
  • Afternoon shifts after school
  • Adjusted hours during school holidays
  • Alternate Sundays
  • Total of 18-26 hours per week
  • Part-time position

Duties Include:

This position involves supporting a young child with complex health needs in their home and accompanying them to and from school. Your morning responsibilities will include preparing the child for school and ensuring they arrive safely. In the afternoons, you will collect them from school and assist them at home.

You will provide comprehensive support, including assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, medication management, mobility support, and handling clinical equipment.

Comprehensive training, shadowing opportunities, and ongoing support will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
