Job Title: Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer

Location: Stafford, VA

Job Summary:

Rivet Operations Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer to provide expertise in Systems Engineering management for the Marine Corps Systems Command technology customer's decision making and acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide knowledge, support, and sound guidance in Systems Engineering management for the Marine Corps Systems Command technology customer's decision making and acquisition processes.
  • Develop and implement innovative, cost-effective, and on-target solutions to digital and enterprise services requirements consistent with law, regulation, and policy.
  • Support daily engineering documentation requirements such as acquisition, strategy, plans, and other technical writings.
  • Encourage and apply Agile methodologies when appropriate.
  • Support the identification of technology insertion opportunities, roadmap development, and portfolio level staff support.

Task Lead Responsibilities:

  • As a prime contract's Task Lead, be the primary point of contact for the supported customer Task Lead and related customer stakeholders.
  • Lead the contractor support team of 6: acquisition analysts, a systems engineer, and a data engineer.
  • Provide vision, strategy, direction, oversight, and quality control of task-level performance, including subcontractors.
  • Support the synchronization of contractor personnel at different levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Ten years of DoD IT acquisition systems engineering management experience of increasing complexity in recent information technology environments and programs.
  • Experience in the direct supervision of professionals in program and acquisition management, including logistics, finance, contracts, and engineering, IT, data, and other DoD acquisition command professional service requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook).

Education or Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification or DAWIA Program Management Level III preferred.

  • Requires the applicant to pass the security clearance requirement for the position.
