Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Reeson Education. As a Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in a mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with varying needs in a 1:1 and small group setting
  • Participate in lessons and provide additional support to students as needed
  • Work with school staff to select students for mentoring and additional support
  • Discuss the aims of mentoring with pupils and agree on action plans
  • Support pupils inside and outside of the classroom, including making home visits to talk to parents about issues and offering advice on strategies to deal with problems
  • Liaise with schools, teachers, social workers, and educational psychologists, and make referrals where appropriate
  • Aid pupils with the transition to secondary education and help them increase their confidence and self-esteem

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in any subject
  • Experience working with students with varying needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
