Convenience Store Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall daily operations of your store, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and line manage a team of Shift Leaders and colleagues in one store, ensuring regular quality time with them on shift.
- Personally know all of your colleagues and understand how people feel about working within your store through talking and listening.
- Lead and enable a culture where colleague experience is at the heart of everything we do.
- Be curious and role model a self-serve culture, confident in using tools to resolve queries and encourage team members to do the same.
- Lead a culture where we get the basics right first time, including ensuring colleagues are trained, have a warm welcome to One Stop, and are compliant in all aspects of pay and employment.
- Look after the safety, health, and wellbeing of your colleagues by supporting them to be at work.
- Continually review the shape and capability of your team to ensure your workforce is future-fit through inspiring great performance and supporting performance to create a high-performing team.
- Complete all people leadership tasks for your team, including absence management and solving problems.
- Recognize your team's contribution and performance and celebrate with them regularly.
- Understand what the resource needs are for your store, spotting and developing talent internally and externally recruiting the best people in the industry.
- Manage all KPIs for your store, sharing ideas with other Store Managers in your area to maximize growth and profitability.
- Be responsible for the operation of all services in your store, including post office local, EvRi, and vending.
- Implement business changes and new ways of working in your store.
- Ensure you resource your store within your labor budget to ensure it remains open for trading and compliant.
- Ensure candidate care is a priority and recruitment principles are followed.
- Ensure customers in your store have a great shopping trip and as a business, we bring benefit to the local communities through trusted partnerships.
- Coach your team daily to deliver a great shopping trip and excellent retail store standards.
- Continually review local competitor activity to understand threats and opportunities and turn your insight into action.
- Ensure customers and colleagues in your store go home safely every day by leading a robust health and safety culture, reviewing preventable incidents, accidents, and audit performance.
- Support your team with completing tasks such as serving customers, replenishing stock, completing safe and legal routines, and line management responsibilities.
- Be the DPS/Premises holder and be responsible for the sale of all alcohol from your store.
