About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Store Manager to lead our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall daily operations of your store, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and line manage a team of Shift Leaders and colleagues in one store, ensuring regular quality time with them on shift.
  2. Know all of your colleagues and understand how they feel about working within your store through talking and listening, leading a culture where colleague experience is at the heart of everything.
  3. Ensure the basics are right first time, including training colleagues, compliance in pay and employment, and supporting their safety, health, and wellbeing.
  4. Review the shape and capability of your team to ensure a future-fit workforce through inspiring great performance.
  5. Complete all people leadership tasks including absence management and problem-solving.
  6. Recognize team contributions and celebrate performance regularly.
  7. Understand resource needs for your store, develop talent internally, and ensure a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline.
  8. Manage all KPIs for your store and share ideas with other Store Managers to maximize growth and profitability.
  9. Be responsible for the operation of all services in your store.
  10. Implement business changes and new ways of working in your store.
  11. Resource your store within the labour budget to ensure it remains open for trading and compliant.
  12. Ensure customers have a great shopping trip and that the business benefits local communities.
  13. Coach your team daily to deliver a great shopping trip and excellent retail store standards.
  14. Review local competitor activity to understand threats/opportunities and turn insights into action.
  15. Be the DPS/Premises holder responsible for the sale of all alcohol from your store.
