Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and increase customer satisfaction.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer loyalty and retention.
    • Manage customer relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and improve sales performance.
  • Operations and Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plumbing and heating department, including staff management and performance monitoring.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of company assets.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
    • Develop and implement health and safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • General
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive.
    • Participate in business planning and strategy development to drive business growth and success.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience of 2 years minimum in a management position or similar level of responsibility.
  • Extensive experience in the plumbing and heating industry, with a deep understanding of products, services, and market trends.
  • Proven track record in sales and customer service, with a proactive approach to winning and growing new business.
  • Strong background in customer relationship management, developing true partnership approaches, and providing excellent product advice.
  • Ability to interpret financial and statistical information, with a good understanding of P&L statements.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
