Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Makeup Artist to join our team at Pat McGrath Cosmetics. As a Retail Makeup Artist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and showcasing your expertise in makeup artistry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Makeup Applications: Deliver high-quality makeup applications, consultations, and demonstrations to clients, ensuring a first-class customer experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products, ingredients, and techniques to effectively advise clients.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, build strong relationships with clients, and stay proactive in attracting new clients to Pat McGrath Cosmetics.
  • Sales: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, as well as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the company.
  • Visual Merchandising: Assist with maintaining store displays, visual merchandising, and ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for clients and colleagues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, share knowledge, and support each other.
  • Brand Representation: Adhere to the Pat McGrath Cosmetics brand DNA, ensuring styling and grooming are inspirational, trend-led, and in line with company guidelines.
  • Stock Management: Assist the stock keeper with ensuring the counter is well stocked and organized, including receiving and processing shipments, and maintaining inventory.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product launches, and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Events and Workshops: Participate in events, masterclasses, and in-store workshops to promote products and build brand awareness.

Requirements

  • Makeup Artistry Techniques: Excellent level of makeup artistry techniques, preferably in a high-end luxury brand.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a makeup artist, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of makeup products, techniques, and ingredients.
  • Sales Ability: Proven sales ability and experience working toward targets, minimum 1 year requirement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attendance and Timekeeping: Excellent track record of attendance and timekeeping, with flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
  • Team Player: Great team player, as well as the ability to work solo.
  • Passion for Makeup: A genuine passion for makeup and the beauty industry.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude with a customer-focused approach to work.
