Job Title: Governance Director

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Governance Director to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the Corporate Governance function in the UK and the USA, supporting the Group Head of Corporate Governance in Group Corporate Governance matters, and working closely with the UK and US management team, legal team, and the wider Corporate Governance team on various strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective Corporate Governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on Corporate Governance matters to the Group Head of Corporate Governance and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the UK and US management team, legal team, and the wider Corporate Governance team to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement strategies to improve Corporate Governance.
  • Manage and maintain confidential or sensitive information, and exercise sound judgement on day-to-day matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the global board, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Corporate Governance, ideally with a Chartered qualification.
  • Strong open communication skills, and be organized, analytical, solution-focused, and detail-orientated.
  • Ability to identify material issues and know when to escalate them.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work streams and work under tight deadlines.
  • Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
  • Proactive team player who is willing to help and support colleagues.
