Clinical Development Nurse Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Development Nurse to lead and support the continuous improvement of clinical governance and quality of care for our residents in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have strong clinical practice, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive improvement through training, staff development, and implementing best practices. They will be responsible for reviewing and supporting the performance of every home in the region to ensure the highest clinical standards are being met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze clinical governance databases and KPIs to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement practical strategies to address issues and improve care delivery
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to plan and implement key actions
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care
Requirements

The successful candidate must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration and evidence of continued professional development. They should have extensive experience in a care home environment, including working as a clinical mentor and supporting newly-qualified nurses. A strong understanding of current regulatory requirements is also essential.
