Job Title: Mechanic Inspector

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. We are seeking experienced individuals to join our team as Mechanic Inspectors at our Prestwick Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out complex tasks including disassemble, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
  • Read and interpret technical data, including specified manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings or instructions.
  • Comply with required quality, safety, and EHS regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Essentials:
    • Time served in a relevant discipline with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification.
    • Good hands skills through experience working in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
    • Taking ownership and accountability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate priorities as required.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Candidates will be required to demonstrate numerical, literacy, and computer literacy skills.
    • Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures, including EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and ITC requirements.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in aviation maintenance repair and overhaul environment.
    • Experience of aircraft composite structures and repairs.
    • Experience of fastener removal and installation.
    • Experience of engine build up, including the use of calibrated measurement equipment, and torquing applications.
    • SAP experience or similar operating systems.
    • Understanding of the principles of Lean/Continuous Improvement.
