Job Title: Mechanic Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Inspector to join our team at Prestwick Service Centre, a leading provider of quality MRO services in the European and Middle Eastern markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out complex tasks including disassemble, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
  • Read and interpret technical data, including specified manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings or instructions.
  • Comply with required quality, safety, and EHS regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Essentials:
    • Time served in a relevant discipline with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification.
    • Good hands skills through experience working in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
    • Taking ownership and accountability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate priorities as required.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Candidates will be required to demonstrate numerical, literacy, and computer literacy skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in aviation maintenance repair and overhaul environment would be highly beneficial but not essential.
    • Experience of aircraft composite structures and repairs would be highly beneficial.
    • Experience of fastener removal and installation would be highly beneficial.
    • Experience of engine build up including the use of calibrated measurement equipment, and torquing applications would be highly beneficial.
    • SAP experience (or similar operating systems) would be advantageous although not essential.
    • An understanding of the principles of Lean/Continuous Improvement would be advantageous.
