Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic guidance to our business units, driving growth and profitability through effective financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Financial Leadership: Provide financial leadership and guidance to our business units, including commercial trading, digital, and marketing sectors.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of business partners, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial reporting and analysis tools to provide insights and recommendations to our leadership team.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with our business units to identify and prioritize financial initiatives, ensuring alignment with our business strategy.
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize business outcomes and improve profitability.
  • Marketing Effectiveness: Develop and maintain a marketing effectiveness framework to maximize return on investment (ROI).

Requirements

  • Qualifications: CIMA, ACCA, or ACA accounting qualification with substantial years of PQE in industry.
  • Experience: Proven experience in commercial finance within a retail or FMCG business setting, with a strong track record of collaboration and leadership.
  • Skills: Strong financial planning and analysis skills, with the ability to develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of business partners.
