**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior HR Business Partner to join our team at The West Group Ltd. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in driving forward our HR strategies and initiatives, managing change and restructures, and implementing new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Support HR Activities: Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including talent management, reward, organisational design, and employee value proposition.
- Develop Strong Partnerships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to provide objective and independent challenge, coaching, and advice.
- Manage Change Projects: Lead the HR elements of any business change projects, including restructures and redundancies.
- Oversee Annual Processes: Facilitate all annual HR processes, including performance management and salary reviews.
- Motivate and Lead the HR Team: Coach and develop the HR team to deliver a proactive HR service across the wider business.
- Coach and Develop Leaders: Provide coaching and guidance to our SLT, Management Team, and HR team colleagues to ensure a consistent, compliant, and best-practice approach to managing HR-related issues.
Employee Relations:
- Manage Employee Relations Matters: Confidently and consistently manage all day-to-day employee relations matters.
- Manage Grievances and Disciplinaries: Manage all grievances, disciplinaries, complex dismissals, including redundancies, with confidence and consistency of approach.
- Provide Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, including the interpretation and application of employment legislation to our SLT and Management Team.
- Liaise with External Partners: Liaise with legal advisors and ACAS to mitigate risk relating to potential Employment Tribunals.
- Review and Implement HR Systems: Review, develop, and implement HR systems and policies appropriate to our organisation.
- Champion HR Systems: Champion the use of HR systems, such as Breathe HR, to ensure all data is maintained in a consistent and compliant format.
- Provide Essential Reports: Provide essential reports for our Managing Director, including retention figures, headcount costs, and other employee metrics.
- Manage Sponsorship and Immigration: Proactively manage all sponsorship, visa, and immigration matters, ensuring compliance.
- Manage Absence Analysis: Proactively manage the analysis of absence, including consistently acting on 'triggers' reached.
Requirements:
- CIPD Qualification: CIPD qualified (minimum CIPD Level 5) with extensive HR generalist experience in a variety of senior roles, gained within a mix of large corporations and SMEs.
- Employment Law Knowledge: Thorough and current knowledge and understanding of employment law and how to implement this in a commercial environment across the full range of employee relations issues.
- Complex Employee Relations Experience: Experience of complex employee relations situations, including ACAS negotiations.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships, partnering across all levels of the organisation and with a track record of influencing senior managers.
- Flexible Approach: Flexible approach with the ability to handle an extremely varied workload within a fast-moving environment.
- Change Management Experience: Experience of managing change within an organisation.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Confident and articulate communicator.
- Technical Skills: Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Sharepoint.
- Team Management Experience: Previous experience working in a team and managing employees.
