With a keen awareness of the regulatory landscape, the SCA Manager will provide effective oversight of the Bank's supplier risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation and upkeep of SCA testing plans, collaborating with the Bank's Policy Standard stakeholders, internal risk teams across three lines of defense, and the Group Third Party Assurance team.
  • Enhance the Bank's comprehension of supplier risks and assurance initiatives through coaching and educational efforts for all relevant personnel.
  • Conduct thorough planning to pinpoint key supplier processes, risks, and controls, establishing proportionate and targeted testing plans according to the SCA methodology.
  • Lead SCA reviews, which may include on-site evaluations at supplier locations, focusing on defined risk categories (Information Security, Business Continuity & Incident Management, Information Technology, Records Management, Data Protection, and Data Governance) to assess potential impacts on the Bank and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce timely, concise, and high-quality reports to communicate the outcomes of assurance activities to key suppliers, policy makers, risk stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the Bank.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit trails and documentation of SCA reviews to accurately reflect the work performed and provide effective assurance outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends from supply chain assurance reviews to identify thematic weaknesses and recommend improvements to the control environment.
  • Ensure that any incomplete assurance activities have a clear remediation path that is tracked effectively.
  • Leverage industry networks to stay informed about market trends and external factors, ensuring the Bank adopts a robust and leading approach to supplier assurance.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree or equivalent experience is required; professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CISMP, SSCP, ISO27001, or 20000 Practitioner are preferred.
  • Experience managing within at least one of the following frameworks: COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, ISO22301.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing best practice solutions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, policy experts, supplier relationship managers, and suppliers.
  • Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines while working effectively under pressure.
  • Experience providing specialized services to a diverse internal customer base.
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
