Position Overview

Structural Design Studio Ltd is a premier consultancy specializing in innovative structural engineering solutions. Our award-winning team is dedicated to delivering exceptional structural designs for a diverse range of projects, including both new constructions and renovations across various sectors.

We are looking for engineers at various stages of their careers, from entry-level to experienced professionals, to join our vibrant and expanding team.

Role Responsibilities -

Positions at SDS differ based on the engineer's experience, strengths, and skills, yet the common goal remains – to collaborate as a team to provide the highest quality service to our clients while upholding the company's core values.

All engineers at SDS, regardless of their level –

  • Engage in the design of structures, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with a network of consultants to realize architecturally compelling projects.
  • Work alongside contractors to ensure practical and feasible solutions.
  • Participate in the commercial aspects of our operations, including proposal development, workload management, and business growth.
  • Continuously enhance and expand our skill sets through ongoing professional development.
  • Guide and support junior engineers in their professional journey.
  • Maintain a curious mindset and contribute innovative ideas to the firm.
  • We seek engineers who are passionate about the industry, committed to the communities we serve, and possess a positive and forward-thinking attitude.

Essential Qualifications -

  • A 1st or 2:1 in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Completion of an ICE or IStructE accredited program.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • A robust work ethic.
  • Aspirations to advance and achieve Chartership with the IStructE.
