Your Role as a Senior Gas Operations Engineer

In this position, you will be a key member of our Emergency Response Team, primarily working independently and being the first responder to incidents at customer locations. You will address reported gas leaks or alarms triggered by carbon monoxide, engaging directly with customers and emergency services, which may involve shift work and irregular hours.

Key Responsibilities

Your tasks will include monitoring gas levels during programmed incidents and conducting safety assessments in various building types. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing safety devices, performing purges, and relighting appliances, among other duties.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • CCN1, CESP1 or CMA1 certification (essential for this role; certificates will be requested during the interview)
  • Experience in a gas-related environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of gas appliances, including testing, purging, and pipework commissioning
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
  • Understanding of relevant Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice, and Health and Safety regulations
  • Problem-solving abilities and quick thinking in technical situations
  • A valid UK driving licence
