Your Role as a Senior Gas Safety Engineer

As a Senior Gas Safety Engineer within our Emergency Response Division, you will primarily operate independently, being the first responder to our customers' residences when gas leaks or carbon monoxide alarms are reported. You will interact directly with customers and emergency services, which may involve working shifts and irregular hours.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include monitoring gas levels during reported escapes and conducting safety surveys for medium and high-rise buildings. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing cooker safety valves, performing purges, relights, and various other tasks.

  • CCN1, CESP1, or CMA1 (Essential qualifications for this position; certificates will be requested during the interview)
  • Experience in a gas-related environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of gas appliances, including testing, purging, and pipework commissioning
  • Strong communication skills to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
  • Understanding of relevant Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice, and Health and Safety regulations
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think quickly
  • A valid UK driving licence
