Campus Safety Coordinator - GBS Global Applied Knowledge

The primary objective of this role is to maintain a secure, safe, and inviting atmosphere for all personnel, students, and visitors to the campus. This position entails overseeing campus safety operations, which includes monitoring student behavior while ensuring a high standard of customer service for everyone present on the premises.

A DBS check is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise CCTV, Access Control, and other security systems, responding promptly to alerts, incidents, or maintenance issues.
  • Inspect doors, windows, and gates to confirm security; utilize organizational keys to secure and access buildings; monitor closed facilities for unauthorized individuals or suspicious activities.
  • Provide escort services for guests, students, staff, and faculty as required; offer additional public assistance, including lockout services, jump-starts, and general information.
  • Offer guidance and support to visitors, clients, contractors, and staff.
  • Manage the key control system and distribution of keys.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports as necessary and upon request.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure the safety and security of buildings, valuables, and individuals.
  • Ensure the safety and security of buildings, valuables, and individuals.
  • Oversee entry points for large organizations.
  • Implement Health and Safety and Evacuation protocols.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for security operations as needed.
Qualifications

Essential

  • Proficient in interacting with employees, contractors, visitors, and management, as well as local law enforcement and fire services.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Competence in executing building security and lock protocols.
  • Excellent observational skills.
  • Capability to comprehend and adhere to specific instructions and procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity.
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor License.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with security methodologies.
  • Understanding of local emergency protocols and procedures.
