Sales Account Manager
Leeds
£26,000 - £33,000
Our client, a leading distributor in the retail, construction, industrial, and engineering sectors, is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their existing team of 3. The business has a turnover of 7.5 million, with existing customer accounts forecasting 700K in revenue. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic approach to managing customers and growing accounts.
About the Role
- Proactively manage existing customer accounts to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Develop long-term relationships with existing business contacts to ensure the business is the first choice for customers.
- Forecast sales pipeline and plan in advance to meet and exceed budgeted sales and profit targets.
- Assist the External Sales team with activities relating to customers and updates.
- Record all activity on an internal bespoke CRM system.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer loyalty and retention.
- Process orders and feedback lead times to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Liaise with production on customers' orders and keep in touch with schedules to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of account management experience in a similar industry.
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
- Customer service experience and excellent organisation skills.
- Target-driven and commercial awareness with a focus on sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Able to work within a team as well as from one's own initiative.
- Computer literate with experience using CRM systems.
