Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the pre-agreed budgeted margin for the designated post code area, increasing the number of trading accounts, and growing the spend per account through category up selling.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver Sales Growth
    • Meet or exceed sales targets for the designated post code area.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase the number of trading accounts.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to grow their spend per account.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Representation
    • Represent the company to the market, promoting our products and services.
    • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage the debt ledger for the designated post code area, ensuring timely collection of cash and cheques.
    • Organize technical installations on draught beer dispense equipment.

Requirements

  • Commercial Experience
    • Proven track record in sales and meeting growth targets.
    • Commercial experience in selling wine (on-trade preferred).
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Good team work skills.
    • Good communication and relationship building skills.
    • Good specialist knowledge of the drinks industry, products, and the on-trade market.
    • WSET Level 1 preferred.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Driving licence required to travel to customers.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
