We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Receiving Unit at University Hospital Monklands. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop programmes of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Implement and evaluate patient care programmes to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
- Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and unregistered staff.
- Direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of other staff within the ward or department to promote best practice in relation to patient care.
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
- Excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative.
- Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Evidence of post-registration development.
- Infection control course/training.
- Post-registration experience.
- Working experience within an acute setting or a medical admissions area.
- Good knowledge of SIGN, Trust procedures, and policies.
- In-depth knowledge of best practice guidelines and statements.
- Cannulation skills.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Advanced assessment skills.
- Intravenous drugs administration skills.
- Venepuncture skills.
This is a permanent full-time position with various hours available. If taking part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
