The Role: Senior Support Worker - Peel House Melksham

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Peel House Melksham. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our dedicated team of care professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to the individuals we support, fostering their independence and well-being.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to individuals with diverse needs, assisting them with daily living activities, personal care, and social engagement.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Support Workers, ensuring they receive the guidance and training necessary to deliver exceptional care.
  • Allocate shifts effectively, manage rotas, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers and family members, to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to the individuals' care and well-being.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Support Worker in a residential care setting.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting the dignity and independence of individuals.
