We are seeking dedicated Childcare Support Specialists to join our team in residential facilities.
Job Overview
In this role, you will be situated in a residential setting for children, providing support to young individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, resilience, integrity, and exceptional organizational skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality care to facilitate positive outcomes for the youth.
This is a permanent position offering excellent career advancement opportunities and a thorough training program within a growing organization. You will work an average of hours per week, following a shift pattern that includes days on and days off, along with sleep-in responsibilities. Additionally, you will receive generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus scheme.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with challenging youth, preferably in a residential environment (not mandatory)
- QCF level qualification in Children and Young People, or a willingness to pursue this qualification with full funding provided.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and maintain organized records.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Capability to complete daily documentation in compliance with statutory and policy requirements.
- Empathetic disposition.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills across various contexts.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and support young individuals.
- A full manual driving license is essential.
