About the RoleAs a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be working in a children's residential home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviour. You will need to be flexible, resilient, and honest, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
- Contribute to the development of young people's life skills, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress and care.
- Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting.
- Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Full manual driving license essential.
