As a Senior Management Accountant, your primary duty will be to prepare monthly management accounts for multiple business entities, supported by a finance assistant.
Your responsibilities will encompass bank reconciliations, control accounts, and account production. You will oversee VAT returns and other submissions to external organizations, including funding bodies.The organization undertakes significant capital projects, and this position will involve extensive reporting related to funding and expenditures.
You will collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of these essential projects.You will also ensure accurate balance sheet values for inventory and other assets, utilizing your financial accounting expertise to report in accordance with accounting standards.
Qualifications and SkillsTo excel in this role, you should be a qualified accountant with substantial experience in management or financial accounting. If you are currently employed in a small to medium-sized enterprise and are seeking to transition to a larger, more complex organization, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
