Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Sellick Partnership. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial guidance and support to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain effective financial plans and strategies to support business growth and decision-making.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify financial trends and variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for assigned teams.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Financial Advice and Guidance
    • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to budget holders and stakeholders within assigned Directorates.
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, understanding their objectives and translating them into financial plans and strategies.
  • Financial Controls and Processes
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and processes.

Requirements

  • A recognised accountancy qualification / part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
  • Proven business partnering skills.
  • Previous experience within a commercial or property environment (desirable/advantageous).
  • Previous asset management and experience (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
