We are excited to announce a vacancy for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapy Specialist, located at a key healthcare facility.

Your Role:

This newly established position involves being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team within the Family Centred Wellbeing Service. This innovative service was launched to address the wellbeing needs of children and their families promptly. The team caters to referrals for children in primary and secondary education across a wide geographical area.

In response to the growing demand for support for children and young people with various neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, we seek a dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapist. You will collaborate closely with the team to enhance outcomes for these children and young individuals. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing training programs and providing coaching and mentoring to empower families, Family Wellbeing Workers, and other team members in applying strategies that enhance children's social communication and interaction skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized four-year degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification, along with experience working within a multidisciplinary team. You should have a background in delivering universal, targeted, and personalized interventions.

Experience with improvement methodologies is crucial for demonstrating the effectiveness of your innovative strategies. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals are essential.

Regular support, supervision, and opportunities for skill enhancement will be available.

Work Hours:

This position requires a commitment of 22.5 hours per week.

Contract Type:

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis.

Driving Requirements:

A valid UK driving license and car ownership are mandatory for this position.
