We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our team in providing exceptional psychological services to our patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical psychology services, providing expert advice and consultation to non-psychologist colleagues, and contributing to the development of our psychological care pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialized clinical psychology services to users of our specialty service, offering specialist advice and consultation on clients' psychological care.
  • Develop and manage highly specialist psychological assessments to inform consultation, diagnosis, and monitoring, and provide highly specialist psychological interventions and treatments for individuals with psychological disorders and general medical conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance the delivery of psychological care across our healthcare system.
  • Contribute to the development of our psychological care pathways and provide training and supervision to other health and non-health professionals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a BPS-approved postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or a BPS Statement of Equivalence. You will also need to have post-graduate doctoral-level training in clinical/counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, as well as two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.

Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist is essential for this role. Trainee Clinical Psychologists are not eligible to apply, as they must have attained registration before commencing the post.
