Job Summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our innovative multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work with individuals referred from court and Justice Services who may be subject to specific legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the ongoing development of innovative models of care, utilizing evidence-based practice and strengths-based approaches within the service.
  • Collaborate with the occupational therapy and nursing team leads to provide line management supervision and caseload allocation.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration, with clinical processes for allocation and defining intervention in place weekly.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration are essential requirements.
  • Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist within Mental Health Services is required.
  • Experience of working within a forensic mental health setting would be beneficial.
  • Varied range of clinical experience and ability to demonstrate good clinical reasoning and effective caseload management.
  • Experience of and evidence of commitment to multidisciplinary team working.
  • A mature, responsible, empathic outlook on health and social care delivery that respects people's dignity and human rights.
Working Hours

37 hours per week

Essential Requirements

UK Car licence is essential to this role.
