About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lived Experience Coordinator to join our team at The Forward Trust. As a key member of our Dependency and Recovery Service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve positive change and build productive lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a hybrid model as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team to provide support and guidance to clients.
  • Co-ordinate a meet and greet service upon release from prison and support clients on probation in the community.
  • Co-ordinate team meetings, update training, and provide supervision for peer mentor/volunteers.
  • Navigate clients' recovery journey, providing support, continuity of contact, and signposting.
  • Work collaboratively with other partner agencies and probation staff to achieve targets and deliver results.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of providing a peer support service to a similar client group or working closely with volunteers.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing high caseloads, carrying out risk assessments, and effective case records.
  • Experience of delivering both 1:1 and group-work interventions using motivational techniques.
  • Ability to set and stick to professional boundaries and manage risks.
  • Strong communication skills with people from a range of backgrounds in a sensitive, supportive, and professional manner.
  • Proactivity, quick thinking, and a high-level use of initiative.
  • Resilience, problem-solving, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Adaptability, confidence, and the ability to work in fast-paced changing environments.
  • A relevant qualification in criminal justice/social care or relevant experience in a comparable role.
