This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor, renowned for its operations across diverse sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and data centres, boasting an impressive annual turnover exceeding £1.5bn.

Project Overview

You will be engaged in overseeing the technical dimensions of ongoing projects, specifically focusing on an M&E package valued between £150m and £200m. Your role will involve direct reporting to the Commercial Director, with additional support from the Commercial Manager on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that site supervisory personnel are fully informed about the project's scope of work and the inclusions in tender packages.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for the procurement of subcontractors.
  • Draft contracts and documents for inclusion in tender submissions.
  • Maintain a positive month-on-month cash position and ensure that the projected project margin is achieved or surpassed.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and report on the project's financial status and cash flow.
  • Administer subcontract agreements, including payments and claims, and submit progress claims to the client.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

Qualifications and Experience

A background in construction or building is essential, along with the ability to interpret drawings and plans. Experience in M&E Quantity Surveying and a solid understanding of construction cost management are crucial.

Familiarity with contracts and the tendering process, as well as the capability to comprehend legal issues related to contracts, is required. Experience in procurement, commercial governance, risk and opportunity management, and cost forecasting and reporting is also necessary.

Exposure to lift installations and associated ancillary service packages on high-value projects across various sectors would be advantageous. Proven experience in managing M&E subcontract accounts to final agreement, with a successful track record of account closures with clients, is essential.
