Job Responsibilities:
We are actively seeking M&E Quantity Surveyors with a focus on M&E commercial construction.

You will oversee and manage all surveying activities related to M&E packages, collaborating closely with design, planning, and construction teams.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring site supervisory personnel comprehend the project's scope of works and inclusions in tender packages
  • Preparing tender packages for M&E subcontract works
  • Drafting documents necessary for the procurement of subcontractors
  • Formulating contracts and documents for inclusion in tender packages
  • Ensuring a favorable month-on-month cash position and achieving or surpassing projected project margins
  • Preparing forecasts and reporting on financial status and cash flow
  • Administering subcontracts, including payments and claims, and submitting progress claims to the client
  • Maintaining robust relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Managing the head contract, including assessing completed works and identifying needs for time extensions

Key criteria to be successful:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in quantity surveying or an equivalent qualification, along with a background in construction quantity surveying.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Knowledge of the M&E market, including labor and resource costs and M&E products
  • Background in construction or building with the ability to interpret drawings and plans
  • Experience in M&E quantity surveying and financial knowledge of construction costs
  • Understanding of contracts, tender processes, and legal considerations
  • Experience in procurement, commercial governance, risk and opportunity management, and cost forecasting and reporting
  • Experience working for a Main Contractor or MEP Subcontractor is preferred.
  • Proven experience in administering M&E subcontract accounts to final agreement, with a successful track record of closing these accounts with clients
  • Highly motivated with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with tender processes and experience managing contracts and legal issues
