IDART, a Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership multi-disciplinary community-based team, provides comprehensive support and interventions for individuals with drug and/or alcohol, blood-borne virus issues. Our philosophy is centered around providing evidence-based treatments and interventions tailored to each individual's unique needs, empowering them to make informed decisions about their drug and alcohol use and recovery.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our integrated team, delivering a specialist service across Perth & Kinross HSCP. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with individuals with mental health problems, have specialist clinical knowledge of best practice in Mental Health & Substance Use, and demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and service development skills.

The successful candidate will be an excellent role model, providing compassionate and holistic person-centered care, and will possess a confident approach to multidisciplinary team working across Substance misuse, mental health, and criminal justice services. They will be responsible for leading and developing practice, influencing team members, and taking forward new initiatives within a busy multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care
  • Supervise staff to ensure they provide psychosocial and psychological interventions
  • Develop and implement new initiatives within the team
  • Engage daily with team members from Social Work, Social Care, and Nursing disciplines
