We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teams, working collaboratively to provide an equitable community occupational therapy service across Perth and Kinross HSCP. This role involves working with a mix of urban and rural communities, providing occupational therapy interventions to support individuals in achieving their best possible outcomes within their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions, utilizing specialist assessment, evidence-based treatments, and techniques to support decision-making, goal achievement, empowerment, and recovery.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and communities to promote occupational therapy values and principles.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative practice, service improvement, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Participate in performance development reviews, learning plans, and continuing professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy models and policies relevant to mental health and community settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate NHS Tayside values through work and attitude.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing working hours, and this role will be configured over Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. However, temporary adjustments may be necessary to accommodate service changes.
