About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Surgery Specialist Support Nurse to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the provision and coordination of a comprehensive and integrated service for paediatric surgery and urology patients.
  • Develop and implement specialist nursing care programmes and undertake specialist nursing procedures.
  • Provide education and training to children, families, and carers, as well as other staff and students.
  • Liaise with professional groups and agencies to enhance the delivery of care to children and families.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with a Diploma level education.
  • Post-registration study relevant to the post.
  • Teaching, assessing, or mentoring module.
  • Significant acute General Paediatric Nursing experience.
  • Experience in leading a team or coordinating a shift on a children's ward.
