About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. As a key member of our surgical ward, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from a range of different surgeries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support patients recovering from various surgical procedures, including Orthopaedic, Urology, Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.
  • Actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with our consultant team to make safe discharge decisions, liaise with other departments, and identify and report any significant changes that may affect patient health and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain your own knowledge and skills, as well as those of your colleagues, to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive team culture, promoting a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a surgical or A&E environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration and additional training.
