Job Description

Job Title: Paediatric Apheresis Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Apheresis Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing and apheresis, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to children and young people undergoing apheresis procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide education to patients and families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or equivalent
  • First Degree in Nursing or Health-related subject
  • Teaching and Assessing qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Advanced safeguarding training
  • Post-registration qualification in relevant subject

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-graduate Masters
  • Independent prescriber
  • Clinical assessment skills
  • Advanced communication skills
