About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer Trainee to join our team at SLB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for improving efficiency and increasing asset utilization within our GeoMarket or location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset utilization, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) within the assigned location or GeoMarket.

Drive Asset Turnaround Time Reduction

Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce asset turnaround time through reduction of assets waiting for maintenance, down for parts or repair authorization number, down for failure, and work-in-process.

Identify and Develop Business Cases for Improvement Projects

Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects pertaining to rework and reuse of parts, service level kits, and equipment design improvements.

Monitor and Analyze Data

Monitor the quality and completeness of data capture by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to drive overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reliability analysis.

Participate in Failure Investigations

Participate in failure investigations as assigned by the Reliability and OEE or Maintenance Manager.

Requirements
  • Education

BS or MSc in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field of a 2:2 standard or above.

Experience and Skills

Experience or knowledge in maintenance processes and workflows (Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma) and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high-value, technically complex products/projects.
